Exploring More of Griffith Park at Sunset

GRIFFITH PARK - LOS ANGELES

Griffith Park is one of our favorite place to hike in Los Angeles because of the incredible scenery. With miles and miles of trails, there is a hike for everyone. Now, each time we go, we try to explore more and more of the park and it never disappoints. I only took my iPhone for this hike as I have photographed Griffith Park so many times. That was a mistake. There is always beautiful views and so much to capture here that I should always take the camera. Until next time, these iPhone photos will have to do.

GRIFFITH PARK TRAILS

This hike, we connected some of the different trails that we have hiked in the past and saw some new sights. We started from the parking lot near the old Los Angeles Zoo. Just before returning to the car, we even located, by accident, this famous spot that I always see car commercials filmed at so I definitely want to go back and photograph that some more. It is basically the helicopter landing site in the park. We had spectacular views of Downtown LA, Griffith Observatory and the surrounding Hollywood Hills, including the Hollywood sign. From the backside of the park you can see over the entire San Fernando Valley. If you haven't already, I would highly suggest taking a hike in Griffith Park and if you have, explore a new part of the park.
