Dodger Stadium | Friday Night Fireworks

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA

I had been trying since last baseball season to catch the Friday night fireworks after a Dodger home game from above the stadium. The first time, I used Google Maps to scout a location that would have the perfect view of the fireworks plus the downtown Los Angeles skyline. The top of Elysian Park was perfect for this and I set out with my tripod and all my gear. The game ended but the park rangers were there kicking everyone out of the park because it was closing time. I tried to stay as long as I could to catch at least a couple photos of the fireworks before leaving but they took too long and the rangers were threatening to tow the Jeep. The next time a similar situation but I didn't even make it until the end of the game before being asked to leave. That was the last Friday night home game of last year.

Finally, this year I decided that I would walk to the top to the park and not have to worry about the park closing. With all of my gear on my back and some dinner I walked to the top of the park and setup my tripod and waited for the game to end. As the stadium went dark, I got ready for the show. I hope you enjoy the results of all of the trips up to the top of Elysian Park.
